Native Americans had a numeric code with specific exotheric meaning, based on number 5. [Note: I like these people, because there's order in their theory]
Number 5 was infact a Holy Number to them, since 5 are the Medicine Wheel directions (East, South, West, North and Center).
Their numeric code started from 0 and, by counting on all 4 arts fingers, it arrived up to 20.
Here below you can see the symbols which were used to indicate numbers, together with their exotheric meaning. Zero is a circle, units are dots, but every 5 units a line is put.
I'm not sure about its visibility, since the terminal I have to use has very limited graphic capabilities.
