H The Comic - Instants

According to Native Americans' conception, the first direction man faces is East, connected to birth and to the start of life.
As for newborn, in this cycle, no real logic sequence of events exists: all happens in instants that can be reorganized as you like.
The story moves then in instants, in each adventure tied to three among the leading characters.
You can either read each whole episode or follow the path of each and any protagonist or antagonist: it is sometimes interesting to note as viewpoint and knowledge of events can be very different from the overall vision.
During the whole cycle all thirteen of the protagonists will be introduced, which will be gathered by a tycoon in Space Technology Research Institute & eXperimentals organization, shortly S.T.R.I.X.
They will be opposed by the prominent members of a secret association under the name Enquire, that is officially concerned with surveys, which will use their enormous resources in the attempt to capture and eliminate witches.
Indeed the owl (strix in latin), beside being the root of the word striga, or witch, is not coincidentally the name chosen by the protagonists, while the bad guys name reminds not coincidentally Inquisition.

To ensure an acceptable level for production, I decided to use Artificial Intelligence for drawing, concentrating on screenplay. Here you can find:

As soon as an episode will be complete, it will replace the old version drawn by me, to guarantee consistency among the various episodes.
Considering my speed in writing the screenplay and the adaptation activities on Artificial Intelligence, I should be able to produce an Instant of each episode every other day, therefore it starts to make sense visiting the portal on a periodical basis.

	Instants – 0. Awakening Vydia's Incipit A lady is tied to a pole, burning wood all around. Her visage is swollen, her robes are torn, her look is suffering. In a flashback a series of images appears: a few women with white robes around a cauldron in a clearing. Roman soldiers with halberd capture the lady. Various people jerk and hit her. The lady tied to a torture wheel. With a last glimpse of strength, the lady shouts a gaelic invocation to the Mother Goddess, to be granted the gift of Reincarnation and the priest, frightened by this prayer, answers in latin, pronouncing the typical words of an exorcism. A flash hides all from sight, the lady disappears in a hump of ashes from which, crawling on the ground, a cobra snakes exits. The snake raises in its typical attack position, while a hawk dives against it. A woman's eye slowly opens, as if she's coming awake. Benares, India, Vydia Vayrava comes back to reality, but her vision left her spooked. She's sitting in bathtub, in a quite dark room, whose main illumination comes from candles. While she dries herself and wears a sari, with images showing parts of her beautiful body, among which a strange tattoo on her left shoulder, Vydia traces back the various parts of her vision. The Cobra is her guiding spirit, therefore she believes the lady on the bonfire is somehow connected to herself. The only image that persists in her mind is the weapon used by the guards. She therefore decides to reach the library for investigation. In the late afternoon Vydia, free at last from her duties, can reach the library. She crosses a Benares city where the Gange's murky waters see very few bathing faithfuls, while on the background huge glass palaces, apparently out of place, stand. The atmosphere has a resemblance of an ultramodern Far East trying to get control over the classical India. Also road signs showing Vydia directions underline this imposition with chinese texts and our heroine complains about this. When she at last reachs the Benares Central Library, even its name is written in chinese ideograms, as to make more difficult to reach the source of culture. Vydia tries and enters, putting her hand on the handle, but there doors seems to be unmovable, so that Vydia asks a nearby guy whether the library is closed. The meditating holy man answers that in order to open this door, as for any other door, one's personal badge is needed. Vydia is amazed and she aknowledges to have forgotten, as usual, her badge! Non wanting to walk back and recover it, she opts for her personal solution: magic! With a simple enchantment she deactivates the magnetic lock, having the door spring in front of the astonished and frightened holy man. Tri's Incipit In Rome, two days later, Giovanni Paolo Simboli, code Tri, waits at the Leonardo da Vinci airport Sarah's arrival, while the flow of his toughts clarifies he's the bad guy in this story: he sacrified his son Daniele in an exchange au pair to bring in Rome a teenager who is a phenomenal hacker, hoping to be able to build with her a software able to definitely block any undesired access to Global.Net archives, the real hearth of Enquire's power. The man, looking sober and lean, wear dark glasses, a goatee and light mustaches framing his mouth and long black hair. He is the European Enquire director and he exploits his power in any occasion, as he shows by following each step of the teenager through the airport internal cameras up to their meeting. In an attempt to show off superiority he greets her in english, but his pronounce is too german: using the official European language is so automatic for him. The teenager is clearly unhappy that the man was waiting for her. Nicholas's Incipit Nearly one week before, in the indian reserve near Wahpeton, in South Dakota, Nicholas McEerie a native american tourist guide is summoned to the tepee of the medicine-man, Winter-Hawk. His huge body-builder figure makes even smaller the interior, despite this he appears as tiny confronted with the parchment-ridden figure of the schaman. The old wise man explains that a vision has shown him a falcon leaving the village totem headed to Scotland to meet a rattle snake. Nicholas is amazed, since he had too a strange dream where a snake was spitting flames against a falcon, who was coming out of flames stronger than before. In effect it is over a week he feels persecuted by a falcon who appeared to him in various occasions, the latter on day 11 at 3 p.m. Nicholas rerfers this event, since the ancient wise man seems to get responses from numbers. The elder in effect reveals that Nicholas Way to Enlightenment goes East, towards the past of all of us. Vydia's Corpus Coming back to Benares, a week later, Vydia enters the library while somewhere the Benares Central Unit notes the uncontrolled opening of the Central Library door and its subsequent closure 15 seconds later. Vydia decides not to use terminals with the electronic version of all books for his search, instead going downstairs to browse the paper archives: this way her search won't be memorized in the Big Brother database, as she loves calling the Enquire statistic service. Down there she finds a librarian busy in putting back a few tomes and she asks for a book dealing with cutting weapons and their history. A couple of minutes later the old blind librarian comes back with the book, pointing exactly where she is, with big amazement by Vydia. The young indian lady discovers the vision's weapon was a halberd, connecting to the Swiss Guards in Vatican City. Further searches help her understand her vision was showing a witch bonfire. She's doesn't know what this has to do with her, but now she has to go back to her temple and without badge she can't even leave the building: using again her powers may raise attention within the kingdom of the Big Brother, therefore she pretends to have lost her badge within the library, having the door openend by the kind librarian. But the Benares Central Library cross-checks data about door movements and it concludes that an intruder may have entered the building without the proper rights. This triggers an alarm, but Vydia is already far away when all is understood. The day after Peter Parker Hook, code Djevjàth, is sent from Japan to investigate on the events. The Japanese-European guy with dubious estetic taste and an exhaggerate love for electronic buffies cannot understand while such a useless act may require his intervention, but Dva's order cannot be challenged. With his regret he is oblidged to go downstairs among what he defines archeological retrievals and, once all facts are analysed, he wonders why someone should risk Annihilation for a few books on Middleage. Using one of his mental powers to relive the events experimented by the books, he collects with his sub-limen probe an image of the unknown young lady, that is sent to all sea, rail, plane havens, buslines and range stations. The text quotes the unknown identity and the probable profession as priestess, together with the unauthorized access to the Central Library. Meanwhile Vydia at the temple has collected all data to have a clear image of St. Peter's Square in Rome, a few clothes for a trip, her badge and, once the events are reported to her sister and lover Myria, she teleports on place, ignoring all events put in place by those who are searching for her. Tri's Corpus Sarah Goodberry is a 14yrs brilliant student, very gifted with numbers and software programming, but she cares for her physical dealing with a lot of sport, surf especially. While entering the car, she mentally runs through last week events. That ogre of the school manager summoned her to communicate that, considering her school results, she was selected for an internship in Italy and, while reflecting on how bad these results must have been, her father was reeling off a list of monuments she would have been sing in Italy, read from Global.Net sure. Nobody took care of her passion for surf and she was certain some schoolmate enjoyed the news she was leaving. After a short exchange of formalities, Tri gets soon to the point, informing Sarah she was chosen for an internship that will enable her to enter the secret archives of Global.Net. This entices the youngster, that is part of the array of hackers trying to force the code, since a long time. While Tri explains that it is more a precaution to ensure users security in a remote case where someone may try to use these data, he crosses some of his agents chasing a woman, Vydia, and shooting her. This action is contrary to the style he imposes his men and this irrites him to the point to liquidate the teenager as soon as they get home, leaving her to the attention of his daughter Veronica, while he explains to have an abrupt work duty. Nicholas' Corpus Meanwhile in Winter-Hawk's tepee the old wise man explains Nicholas that the Hawk is the Totemi Animal whose sight Nick shall use to lead others. He reminds him about the teachings provided since he was a child on the Medecine Ledge and he invites him to smoke Humito, the Sacred Tobacco of Knowledge, with him. Nicholas doubts very much that the old man's ranting about ancient powers and spirits have some sense, but he indulges with him, waking up hours later after choked by its own retching, while Winter-Hawk cheers that he's been accepted by the Spirits as a Medecine Man. He therefore names him Hawk-Eye, giving him the Sacred Pipe too. While remembering him that in a few days the vision of what happened will become manifest to him, he give hims also a very powerful and beautifil object: a precious Medecine Ledge of pure silver, wit precious stones set on it in the five directions. He says farewell telling that toward the East, with others, Hawk-Eye will bring back to live the ancient powers. Back home, Nicholas books a flight to England, taking the chance of this dubious mission to search for the origins of his name, linked to his mother. The day after, even less convinced to be willing to leave, he reaches the airport, where he uses any possible excuse not to embark, but he is forcefully led to East, as dreams, visions and the prophecies of a gibbering old madman seem to show. Tri's Desinit Some time later, in an undefined within the Rome area, Tri vocally activates his computer to get a report of the shooting happened nearby the Vatican, where two of his men were involved. Thus, he discovers that a woman whose origin is still unknown breached the Vatican Archives, to steal the original of the Malleus Maleficarum. Agents Finner and Digiorgio are searching for her. Tri contacts both agents at the holophone, setting the room as the Papal Throne and his own looking as the Grand Inquisitor. While he his updated on the events, his anger raises up, so that he decides to frighten both agents by esploiting one of his mental powers and shapeshift into an hybrid creature, half man and half black panther. He dismisses the two with the advice, or better the order to find the woman, then he tries to calm down and cancel his power, to regain the lucidity he will need from now on: as Dva had foreseen, the Witches woke up!
