Most rules of this game are based on SRD, but some of them differ from most of the other role play games.
If you cannot find anyone knowing SvsE game, you can learn by yourself. Read the Player Handbook and create some character. Try to create a variety of characters.
Then at least one among you read the Doom Guide and create an adventure for low level characters, using the adventures generator.
Probably you will make a lot of mistakes and you will continuously ask wether you are right or not, do not bother. SvsE game is big, but you will take control over it at the end.
