Except a copy of this manual, very few is required to play SvsE game.
You will need some kind of annotation for your characters. At then of this manual is inserted a possible characters sheet, but any paper sheet can go.
One can use white, ruled or even squared paper. A sheet of A3 paper, folded in half, is excellent.
Take notes on your character with a pencil, since they will frequently change during the game. A good eraser is needed too.
A set of dice is needed for each player. A set of dice comprises at least a four-sided (d4) die, three six-sided (d6) dice, an eight-sided (d8) die, two ten-sided (d10) dice, a twelve-sided (d12) die and a twenty-sided (d20) die.
Polyhedral dice should be available in any shop selling material for role play games.
At least one player should have a few squared sheets to draw maps, while the players advance.
One must have at hand paper bits for urgent notes, to send secret messages to the other players or to Doom, or to keep notice about strange bits of information you do not want to insert among your characters data.
Miniature figures are useful to keep trace about where everyone is in complex situations such as a battle. These can be elaborate or simple, as you like.
Some player uses lead or pewter miniatures, painted in order to resemble their characters. Even plastic soldiers, chess pieces, markers from a board game, dice or paper bits can go.
